Signature Programs

The Academic Challenge & Enrichment Program (ACE) has been established in Years 7-9 to better meet the educational needs of high achieving students. ACE aims to provide an enriched and challenging learning environment for students who are capable of outstanding academic achievement. It aims to produce students who achieve at ‘A’ standard in the formal curriculum, in the highest bands possible in their age group in the National Assessment Program in Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) and who are competitive at state and national academic competitions. One class group of ACE students will be formed in each year level. Students will be invited to participate in the ACE program. 

The Woodcrest Academy Sports Programs include the targeted sports of Basketball and Volleyball. Students selected in an academy sports program are offered high level coaching with access to elite competitions in their chosen sport. A recent addition to the Academy programs is the AFL school of Excellence. 

The WesTEC Trade Training Centre​​ is a national Trade Training Centre operated by Woodcrest State College in partnership with Springfield Central, Redbank Plains and Forest Lake State High Schools. WesTEC’s training partner, TAFE South West, provides industry standard training to years 11 and 12 students in a range of training areas including construction, engineering, automotive, logistics, health support services and hairdressing.​​​​​​​​​​​​​
