Instrumental music

Why participate? 

 
  • Children who study music from an early age can do better at a range of subjects.
  • Children who play music learn there are rewards from hard work, practice and discipline.
  • Playing a musical instrument helps develop kids' creative thinking and motor skills.
  • Music helps kids become more active listeners.
  • It can also enhance their health and wellbeing and increase their stamina.  
 

Instrumental Music lessons: 
 
  • String instruments - Years 3 and above
  • Percussion, Woodwind, Brass - Years 4 and above
  • All instruments are available for hire through the school for the first year of tuition. 
  • Lesson take place during school hours.    

The costs involved in the program include:

 
  • $25 music levy per year (in comparison private lessons average well over $25 per lesson.)
  • $50 first year, instrument hire fee (if using a school instrument)
  • Students will also need to purchase a tutor book and some consumables.
