Student services and support programs

Student Services​

Woodcrest has a wide range of student services available to provide support and advice.

All officers are located in our Student Services building, see campus map for details.

Making an appointment​:

  • Secondary students can make appointments directly with the support staff in Student Services Building. Students will be issued an appointment slip by the staff member. Before going to the appointment/class, student must see their class teacher to be marked as present. 
  • Primary student referrals should be made through the classroom teacher.​​

Guidance Officers


Our Guidance Officers support students in relation to educational, career and personal decision making and, in meeting the students' needs, may link them with agencies and institutions outside the school.

Scho​ol Chaplain

Steve Palmer is Woodcrest's Chaplain and is available on Monday and Tuesday between 9.00 am and 3.00 pm.

Youth Health Nurse


Our school based nurse works with students, parents and school staff to address concerns or problems about health and well being; create a more supportive, safe and healthy school environment and connect people to other support services.


Melany Sommerville is our Youth Health Nurse and is available Mo​nday to Thursdays. Melany can be contacted via:


Youth Support Counsellor

Our Youth Support Counsellor (YSC) works with students who are experiencing problems either within the school or in their home situations.

The YSC is available Monday and Tuesday and can be contacted via:

Community Education Counsellor


Our Community Education Counsellor (CEC) offers support for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander students and is the liaison between school and the wider community.​
